How To Stop Techsmith Camtasia Studio Video Chirps And Chipmunk Sounds In The Audio.

If you are producing videos using Techsmiths Camtasia Studio then you have certainly heard the dreaded chirps and chipmunk sounds. Like most people I first thought it was my computer but it is not and I am glad to say there is a quick and easy fix.

The sounds are produced by a conflict between Techsmiths Camtasia Studio and Adobes Flash Player.

After researching this problem here is the easy fix.

- Download a free application provided by Techsmith here http://techsmith.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/techsmith.cfg/php/enduser/fattach_get.php?p_sid=4l7qLAWi&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_tbl=9&p_id=1250&p_created=1200422595&p_olh=0I

- Unzip the application from Techsmith

- Run the application from Techsmith

- Open up a file that contains the video that you want to run through the Techsmith application. Within that file will be an .swf file. Drag and drop the .swf file into the Techsmith application.

- Click on the fix audio button.

- The application will tell you the file was processed. That’s it, your file is ready to go.

To test the fix click on the .html file within the folder you just did the fix for to run your video. You will find the chirps and chipmunk sounds are fixed.

Simple and easy isn’t it?

I hope you found this helpful and thanks to Techsmith Camtasia Studio for the fix.

Until next time.
